Vision Statement

As a DeKalb High School counselor, I will empower all students to reach their goals by using a comprehensive program that touches on academic, personal, social and career success.  I believe that through the collaborative efforts of DHS, home and our community every student can succeed.  

 

Mission Statement

Provide opportunities to research, discuss and explore career goals while providing them with avenues to achieve their success, thus enabling them to become productive citizens.

Meet Mrs. Lea Dooley 

I am a 1996 graduate of DeKalb High School. I received my bachelors degree from Texas A&M University-College Station in 2000 and returned home to begin my career. After teaching for nine years and earning my master’s degree in school counseling from Texas A&M-Texarkana, I became the high school counselor in July of 2009.  

I love working with the students and am proud to call DeKalb home!
