Hello. My name is Ellen Eubanks and I am beginning my 8^th year at DISD. This year I will be teaching 8^th grade Social Studies and coaching middle school volleyball and track.

DeKalb is my home; I was born and raised here. My parents were both school teachers for DISD; and, like me, my four children graduated from DeKalb High School. Currently, six of my 11 grandchildren attend DISD.

I was a stay-at-home mom for several years before I began working in a family owned insurance business. Then I spent eight years at Northeast Texas Community College where I taught develpmental math and coached softball. 

All three of my daughters either are or have been school teachers. Cassie is an early childhood specialist. She and her husband, Bill, have four children. Jessica teaches and coaches at DeKalb along with her husband, Cody. They also have four children. Deana teaches and coaches in Splendora, TX, just outside of Houston.  My son, Drew, is an anesthesiology assistant. He and his wife, Ashlea, live in Willis, TX, and have three children.

I attend Maranatha Christian Church in DeKalb where I volunteer as a sound tech and in the children’s ministry. 

When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my family and being outside working and playing.
